Insurance and collection
Your status at the National Insurance Institute will remain that of an Israeli resident.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs pays insurance contribution on your behalf to the the National Insurance Institute, and you are declared as salaried employees.
If you have been notified of a debt to the National Insurance Institute regarding the time you were employed, you must contact the Department of Human Capital and Training in order to resolve this issue directly with the National Insurance Institute.
Contacting us on that matter as soon as possible is important in order to avoid address us as soon as possible in order to avoid enforcement and execution proceedings.
Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) Membership
The National Insurance Institute communicates information about those staying abroad to the HMOs.
During the time of your stay abroad, you remain members of a HMO in Israel, and are entitled to health services as any other Israeli resident.
